New Drivers

The State of Ohio does not require a mandatory course for those over the age of 18 and needing a Drivers License for the first time, it is up to the individual to determine if they need any commercial instruction. We do not offer any set package. We do offer a variety of options for those looking for some formal instruction.

Course Details
Scheduling: Monday – Friday 9:00 am till 9:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am till 5:00 pm

Pick–Up / Drop Off: Bick’s instructors will pick-up and drop off at home or work for your lessons within our service area.

Duration of Lessons: A lesson is 1 to 2 hours. The instructor will evaluate your driving abilities and skills and determine the appropriate lesson plans and amount of time needed to reaching your goals.

Lesson Plans: Bick’s instructors will give specific instruction towards your needs to better prepare you for successfully completing your driver’s training and passing your final road test.

Adult Abbreviated Course

We are offering the adult abbreviated course for those over the age 18 who have failed one or both parts of test.

Starting July 1, 2017, adults age 18 years and older who have never held a driver license before and who fail their first attempt at the maneuverability and/or road test are required to take an Abbreviated Adult Training Course. The course will consist of one of the following:
•    4 hours of classroom and 24 hours of driving with a licensed driver, 21 years and older; or
•    4 hours of online and 24 hours of driving with a licensed driver, 21 years and older; or
•    4 hours of classroom and 4 hours with a licensed instructor; or
•    4 hours of online and 4 hours with a licensed instructor

Applicants who choose the option for 24 hours of driving with a licensed driver 21 years of age or older cannot complete more than four hours of driving in one day.  (taken directly from Ohio Driver Training website http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/dl-abbreviated-adult.aspx)
